It’s SNOWING! Great skiing at Wolf Creek, snowmobiling, and cross-country skiing. The snow is great! It’s going to be a white Christmas
February 26, 2014, 9:30 am
Once again, great snow forecast just in time for Spring Breakers. Two feet or more of powder expected over next 4 days. Seems to happen every year.
February 14, 2014, 8:41 am
I was told yesterday by a good friend who skied Wednesday and Thursday at Wolf Creek that they were two of the best days he'd ever had on the slopes. This gentleman lived in both Aspen and Crested Butte for many years so I believe his words were a very valid testimonial to the great ski conditions we're experiencing this year. You deserve to be here!

As we do each winter, we worry about snowfall, and each winter it turns out there is no need for those snowworries. Christmas skiing was good and the base of 68" carried us through January. Now, Wolfcreek has received about 64" of powder snow since last Friday, January 31, and still more is in the forecast for the rest of this week! Once again, THE MOST SNOW IN COLORADO (and Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, New Mexico, California, Oregon, Washington and all of New England!!!!!) 104" base and 221" year to date.

Really coming down today, and Wolf Creek looks great although Pass is temporarily close due to blowing snow. Thursday on should be excellent! be

November 18, 2013, 8:33 am
Last weekend, Wolf Creek received 16" of new snow producing a 36" base and more on the way Thursday through Sunday this week. Very good early season conditions.
Another honor for Pagosa Springs. . . Phil Keoghan of "The Amazing Race" fame has named Pagosa as #17 of the "23 Destinations You Have to See Before You Die." There is only one other US spot so honored. Mr. Keoghan writes “Pagosa Springs was my favorite pit stop during my ride across America. I always say that places are about people, and that is certainly true of Pagosa Springs.” So. . .Come meet the people and enjoy all that Pagosa has to offer.
February 12, 2013, 8:11 am
As of 2/12, 4' new powder giving a 88' midway and 94" summit base. It doesn't get much better than this!
December 13, 2012, 9:04 am
As seems to happen each year, we worry about snowfall for the Christmas holidays and then, just before our first wave of vacationers, WolfCreek gets blasted. We are now expecting 20" of new snow during next 3 days.
December 4, 2012, 12:54 pm
Wolf Creek has 500 acres and 3 lifts open. Go to Wolfcreekski.com for full daily report. At present we have as much if not more snow than any ski area in Colorado, Utah or New Mexico, and the skiers I've talked to say it’s really pretty good!
March 20, 2012, 10:19 am
Seems we always get snow for spring breakers. 17" new powder on 3/19. There's still time to enjoy the most snow in Colorado!
February 28, 2012, 1:14 pm
13" new powder last night and still snowing! 102" base perfect for Spring Break.
February 15, 2012, 1:31 pm

ULLR is with us again. Wolf Creek has received still another 17" of powder over the past 2 days and more on its way tonight, Tuesday and Wednesday just in time for a bust Presidents' weekend.
February 6, 2012, 5:06 pm
Wolf Creek has received almost 3 feet of new powder during the past 7 days with 18" yesterday and today (Feb.6). It really couldn't be much better!
January 17, 2012, 5:08 pm
It seems that each year we start getting calls around this time from potential guests concerned about the lack of snow (NOT HERE!). Their worries are undoubtedly fueled by the lack of snow (NOT HERE) throughout the country so far this year. December produced the best ski conditions in memory at Wolf Creek and during the last 2 days (Jan 15 and 16) the ski area received another 18" of great powder producing a 71" base at summit and 69" midway. And more snow in the forecast beginning this Friday, Jan 20 through Tuesday, Jan 24. . .sNOw worries! How's about 219" already this season
December 22, 2011, 11:19 am
$ more inches of snow last night and this AM and its dumping at Wolf Creek right now. Snow conditions just don't get much better than this. Powder skiing with a 63" base, still the most in Colorado, Utah or New Mexico.
December 14, 2011, 8:53 am
14" new last 2 days, 177" year to date. As usual, most snow in Colorado or anywhere else for that matter! Get here for Christmas. It will be great!
December 6, 2011, 7:53 am
About this time each year, we start to get calls from Christmas vacationers worried about snow conditions at Wolf Creek. Every year we reply "Don't worry. There will be plenty of snow." And every year. At least for the 12 I've been here, we've been proven right. Once again, followed by the best Thanksgiving ski conditions in recent memory (52" base), Wolf Creek has received 44" of new powder over the past 4 days producing a 64"- 68" base with 159" total snow already this year. Yes, I know, 52 + 44 doesn't equal 64-68 but snow does melt and get skied off. And there's more in the forecast next week. Don't worry, come and enjoy the most snow in Colorado (or in the USA?)

WOLD CREEK AREADY HAS A 52" BASE AND MORE ON THE WAY. I TALKED WITH A LOCAL YESTERDAY AFTERNOON WHO HAD SKIED IN THE AM AND HE SAID IT WAS WONDERFUL; 14" OF NEW POWDER!
WOLF CREEK FIRST IN STATE TO OPEN WITH 3' OF NEW SNOW. Began snowing in Pagosa Wednesday afternoon and continued through Thursday. Not much accumulation in town but 3' on the pass. When I left for work this morning, I was greeted by 4 does and 2 fawns in my driveway. Had to stop about 100' down the road to allow 32 turkeys to cross. A little further down the road, 5 elk were grazing. What a way to start the day!

Truly the best time of the year in Pagosa. Daytime temperatures in the 70s, nighttime in the 40s. This year, the aspen colors are beautiful and, because of the August and September rains, wildflowers are everywhere. The Kokanee salmon fishing has been extraordinary at both Williams and Navajo reservoirs. Talked with some avid fishers yesterday and they had limited out at Williams in 2 hours.

We think summer is finally here although it did snow 2 weeks ago. Today's temp is 75 with bright sunshine. Wildflowers are blooming and hiking trails are beautiful. Rafting has begun although water is running high and swift. We suggest not trying it on your own yet but instead using one of our excellent professional rafting companies.
April 19, 2011, 6:41 am
Downhill skiing is over but cross-country and snowmobiling still very good. Hot air balloons often up now in the mornings and have already seen a few rafters going out. Wildflowers are beginning to appear and temperatures are in the 60s. Great time to be in Pagosa!
March 22, 2011, 8:27 am
A very busy Spring Break week with some of the nicest guests I can remember. Great snow and lots of sunshine. A good time was had by all.
March 7, 2011, 11:17 am
Just in time for spring break. . . 4" new powder with another 10" forecast today. Sunny and warmer starting Wednesday with sun all next week. Couldn't be a better forecast for the vacationers!
February 10, 2011, 11:36 am
Thursday, Feb. 9--------2 feet of new powder at Wolf Creek and a 99" base. Sun's out, no wind, just a great powder day!
February 2, 2011, 11:33 am
Wolf Creek has 10" new snow in past 2 days with 84" base and 238" year to date. Only 1 other ski resort in Colorado is reporting a better base.
January 30, 2011, 7:31 am
Sunday morning January 30. The last few days have been absolutely perfect. Bright sunshine and highs around 48 degrees in Pagosa and sunny skiing in temperatures around 32 degrees at Wolf Creek. Actually sunbathed and had lunch on our deck and grilled dinner outside yesterday. Snow in the forecast this week and next. Spoke with skiers Saturday and all said conditions still very goof with 75 inch base.
December 23, 2010, 10:38 am
WOLF CREEK NOW HAS A 90" BASE WITH ANOTHER FOOT EXPECTED TODAY. CAN'T GET MUCH BETTER THAN THIS!
December 21, 2010, 11:29 am
It seems that starting just before Thanksgiving each year we fret about snowfall, or lack thereof, at Wolf Creek, and each year our worries turn out to be unfounded. As of today, 12/21, Wolf Creek has a 68" base with 31" in the last 48 hours. I talked with an expert skier yesterday who said that the slopes are great and that the tree skiing is just about the best she has ever experienced. AND MORE SNOW IS FALLING TODAY.
December 18, 2010, 9:27 am
Talked with some folks who had skied yesterday and was told it was perfect with lots of new snow. We were worried for a while about Christmas ski conditions. No worries now and more snow in forecast. Keep it coming!
December 7, 2010, 4:08 pm
Lunch on the deck, warm sunshine, beautiful snowcapped mountain views. Christmas reservations are coming in fast, but there's still room. The town Christmas decorations are great, a true festive spirit is everywhere so come and be a part of it. Wolf Creek is 100% open with all lifts running!
